Makita 18V Wall Mount Battery Holder: The Complete Guide to Organizing Your Workshop
Makita 18V LXT batteries represent an investment of several hundred euros. Leaving them lying around on a workbench, risking them falling or deep discharge, will prematurely damage them. A 3D-printed wall mount, specifically designed for Makita rails, radically changes the organization of your workspace.
Why generic holders don't work
Storage hooks and holders sold in supermarkets are not designed for the precise geometry of Makita batteries. The Makita mounting rail has a proprietary profile — only a holder calibrated to these exact dimensions will firmly hold the battery without risk of falling. BL1830, BL1840, BL1850, and BL1860 batteries all have the same rail, but the center of gravity varies depending on capacity. Our holders compensate for this weight differential.
Which holder to choose for your workshop?
- Single holder: ideal near a fixed workstation, for a backup battery always within reach.
- Double holder: perfect for alternating two batteries in rotation — one charging, the other in use.
- Triple holder: for workshops with multiple tools (drill, circular saw, sander) in simultaneous use.
- Quadruple holder: for craftsmen and professionals with many Makita tools.
Material: high-resistance ABS
All our Makita holders are printed in high-resistance ABS. This material easily supports the weight of the heaviest LXT range batteries (BL1860: 780 g) without deformation or creep over time. For very hot workshops (near an oven or forge), we offer a PETG version with temperature resistance up to 80°C. TPU protective caps are available as an option to cushion battery clipping and prevent scratches.
Installation in 5 minutes on any wall
- Position the holder at the desired height (between 130 and 160 cm from the floor for comfortable access).
- Mark the two drilling points according to the template provided in the product description.
- Drill and dowel (expansion anchor for cinder block/concrete, Molly bolt for plasterboard).
- Screw the holder with 4×40 mm screws.
- Clip the battery — removal is done by pressing the standard Makita release button.
Color customization

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the holder compatible with all Makita 18V LXT batteries?
Yes, the mounting rail is identical across the entire 18V LXT range: BL1815, BL1820, BL1830, BL1840, BL1850, and BL1860. It is not compatible with 12V CXT or XGT 40V batteries.
Can the holder be fixed to plasterboard?
Yes, with Molly bolts suitable for plasterboard (also called 'butterfly anchors'). For single and double holders, two 5×38 mm Molly bolts are more than sufficient. For triple and quadruple holders loaded with heavy batteries (BL1860), we recommend aiming for a metal frame behind the plasterboard.
Is the yellow color the same yellow as Makita tools?
We use an industrial yellow filament very close to the signature Makita yellow (RAL 1016). The shade may vary slightly depending on the filament batch, but the visual aspect is very consistent. If you want an exact match, opt for matte black — it pairs perfectly with all Makita tools.
